Car wreckers Arcadia: an assessment for the vehicle you have now
A car that has donated parts to another repair is different from a complete car with a mechanical fault. List any removed assemblies, wheels or panels. If the vehicle is complete but no longer starts, explain that without assuming it has the same value as a stripped shell.
Include the make, model, year and where it is parked. We can discuss the quote and collection requirements together before you accept. Repairs are not required simply to ask whether selling it is an option.
If you are looking for parts rather than selling, we can check used replacements for your own project or a workshop repair. Supply the component details so the team can investigate the right item.
Can I sell a car after taking parts from it?
You can enquire, but describe all missing items before the assessment. Completeness affects both what is being bought and how it may need to be collected.
Does a running car qualify for an assessment?
Yes. Unwanted running vehicles can also be considered. Include known problems and the current condition rather than only saying it runs.

Agree on the Arcadia vehicle and loading position
Contact our Sydney car dismantlers with the address and a clear description of where the car is located. For an Arcadia property, explain the entrance and route to the vehicle rather than leaving those details until collection day.
If the vehicle is stored behind other items or reached through more than one gate, mention that. Ground conditions, overhead clearance and turning room may also need discussion for your particular site. Have photographs available if they would help explain the approach.
Tell us whether the car rolls and steers, and whether loose components need to travel with it. If you are clearing several items, identify which are part of this vehicle sale. A quote for a car is not automatically an agreement to remove everything stored nearby.
Before handover, confirm the offer, included items, payment arrangements and any collection charges. Remove personal belongings, arrange the agreed access contact and have the required ownership information ready.
Identify what is being sold
Describe the car and any detached parts included with it.
Describe its position
Explain the route in and whether the vehicle can move on its wheels.
Agree on collection
Confirm price, transport costs and handover requirements with the team.
Can you assess more than one unwanted vehicle?
List each vehicle separately with its details and condition. The team needs to discuss the assessment and collection requirements for each rather than treat them as one unidentified load.
What if access changes after I accept an offer?
Update the team before collection. A blocked entrance or different vehicle position may require the agreed arrangements to be reviewed.

Used components for repairs that need the correct specification
Arcadia customers can enquire about used engines, gearboxes, body panels, electrical components, lights, mirrors and interior fittings. Explain the repairer's required item and whether you need the complete assembly or a separate component.
We handle makes including Toyota, Holden, Nissan, Mazda, Ford and Honda, as well as other makes. Give the model or series, year and relevant mechanical specification.
For an older vehicle, original identification can be particularly useful when several versions look alike. Send a part number or photographs where available and ask what fittings are included. Used parts can offer a much lower cost than new replacements, but availability, condition and demand determine the individual quote.
Can I enquire about parts for a vehicle no longer in production?
Yes. Provide the model details and original identification you have. We can check availability, but cannot assume an older part is stocked simply because the model is listed.
Will an engine quote include every accessory?
Confirm what is included with the proposed unit. Your mechanic should check the specification and any additional fittings needed for installation.

Confirm freight and receiving arrangements for your order
For delivery to Arcadia or your repair workshop, supply the exact receiving address and contact. Eligible small parts may go by courier. Engines, transmissions and large body parts can need truck freight, with access and unloading agreed in advance. Batteries and tyres are not sent by courier; transport costs are separate from the part price.
Qualified staff check and test our used parts. Employees remove the components and prepare them for supply, with no pick-your-own dismantling. Discuss item condition and confirm readiness before arranging pickup yourself.
We accept returns for faulty components and items we supplied incorrectly. We do not offer change-of-mind returns for parts requested incorrectly by the customer, or an additional voluntary warranty. Applicable Australian Consumer Law rights remain unaffected.
Can freight be quoted to my mechanic rather than the vehicle address?
Yes. Use the actual receiving address and workshop contact when discussing delivery so the charge and receiving arrangements refer to the correct destination.
What information helps with a faulty-part return?
Keep the order details and explain the fault to the team. Agree on return arrangements before sending the item back.
