Car wreckers Angus for unwanted vehicles and used replacements

Tell us its make, model and year, together with known faults and anything missing. If it was replaced and then left parked, explain how long it has been unused and whether the keys are available. You do not need a fresh diagnosis just to begin the assessment.

A car that starts may still need collection if other faults stop it being driven. Describe whether it rolls and steers, rather than treating a running engine as the whole picture. We will discuss an offer and suitable handover arrangements for the actual vehicle.

For a vehicle you want to keep, ask us about used parts. We check replacements from small fittings to major mechanical assemblies against the information supplied for your repair.

Can I sell a car I have already replaced?

Yes. Include its current condition and any faults, even if it was running when you stopped using it. The assessment concerns the vehicle as it is now.

Does a missing component rule out an enquiry?

No. Explain what has been removed and what remains. Missing parts can affect the assessment and collection requirements, so include them at the start.

Make the Angus collection address and access clear

Our Sydney car wreckers can discuss the vehicle purchase alongside collection from your Angus address. Provide the full street address and the car's position within the property; a suburb name alone is not enough to plan the handover.

If the entrance is difficult to identify, explain the correct gate or driveway. Mention any distance between the entry and the vehicle, limited turning room or obstructions along the approach. These details are specific to your property and need to be reviewed before collection is confirmed.

Tell us if the car has flat tyres, locked steering or missing wheels. Have photographs of the vehicle and its position ready if requested. There is no need to drag a non-runner to a different spot simply to request an assessment.

Confirm the agreed offer, payment arrangements, included components and any transport charges before accepting. Remove your belongings and have ownership information ready under the handover arrangements agreed with the team.

  1. Identify the car

Provide its specifications, condition and missing items.

  2. Identify the entrance

Explain the correct address, approach and parking position.

  3. Confirm the handover

Agree on price, payment and collection terms before release.

What if the vehicle is behind a locked gate?

Explain who can provide access and when. The team will need an agreed entry arrangement before confirming collection.

Can I send photographs after the initial enquiry?

Have them ready and discuss how to provide them with the team. Whole-car views and images of the access can help answer different assessment questions.

Engine bay and mechanical components

Check a used component against your vehicle details

Angus owners and repairers can enquire about used engines, transmissions, lights, doors, bumpers, mirrors, electrical items and interior fittings. Describe the component needed, including whether you want an assembly or a smaller item from it.

Makes include Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Suzuki, with other makes welcome. Availability is checked for each request rather than assumed from the model name.

Ask your mechanic for the required specification or original part number. For body parts, identify the side and position; for mechanical components, supply relevant engine and transmission details. Used replacements can cost much less than new ones, with condition and demand affecting the individual price.

Can I request more than one component?

Yes. List each item separately and include the identifying information needed for each. Availability and included fittings are confirmed item by item.

Do you need the vehicle year for a small part?

Include it even for a small fitting. A manufacturer's badge alone may not distinguish versions of the component.

Confirm the receiving address for your parts order

Qualified staff check and test the used parts we sell, and employees remove them from vehicles. Ask about the condition of the actual item. Customers cannot dismantle vehicles or pick their own components.

Discuss pickup or paid delivery to Angus or your nominated workshop. Give us the full receiving address and contact before freight is quoted. Eligible small items can go by courier; engines, transmissions and large panels may require truck freight and agreed unloading arrangements. Batteries and tyres are not sent by courier.

Confirm availability, compatibility, included fittings and the separate delivery charge before ordering. Faulty items and parts we supplied incorrectly can be returned. We do not offer change-of-mind returns for incorrectly requested parts, or an additional voluntary warranty. Applicable Australian Consumer Law rights remain unaffected.

Can a workshop outside Angus receive my order?

Yes. Provide the actual workshop address and receiving contact when discussing paid delivery, rather than using your home address for the freight quote.

Should I arrive before the part is confirmed ready?

Wait for confirmation first. Staff prepare the supplied item, so an enquiry alone does not mean it is ready for pickup.
